Privacy Policy

We do not ask you to create an account, we do not sell anything directly, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone. The only personal information we ever hold is what you type into the contact form, and that arrives as an email.

Two third parties see something when you use this site: Google Analytics, which records anonymized usage, and Amazon, which sets a cookie when you follow one of our product links. Both are explained below.

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and which links are clicked. It records things like the pages you visit, roughly where in the world you are, your device type and browser, and how you arrived.

We also fire a custom event when someone clicks a product link, recording which merchant and which product. That is how we know which recommendations are useful. It is not tied to a name, an email address or an account, because we hold none of those.

Google is the data processor for this and operates under its own terms. If you would rather not be counted, a browser extension such as Google’s own Analytics opt-out, or any standard tracker blocker, will stop it — and nothing on this site breaks if you do. We would rather you read the site than be measured on it.

When you click a product link here you are redirected to Amazon, which sets a cookie so it can attribute a purchase to this site. That cookie is set and read by Amazon, not by us — we never see your order, your basket, your payment details or your Amazon account.

We only ever see aggregate reports from Amazon: numbers of clicks and orders, with no identifying information about who made them.

The affiliate disclosure explains the commercial side in full. Amazon’s own privacy notice governs what happens once you are on their site.

If you use the contact form we receive your name, your email address, the topic you selected and your message. It is delivered to us as an email and kept in that mailbox.

We use it to reply to you and for nothing else. Specifically:

• We do not add you to a mailing list. There is no mailing list.
• We do not pass it to any brand, retailer or third party.
• We do not use it for advertising or retargeting.

For spam prevention the form records the time the page loaded and your IP address is used for a short-lived in-memory rate limit. Neither is stored in a database, and the rate-limit record disappears when the server process restarts.

If you would like your message deleted from our mailbox, email contact@robotpoolcleanerpicks.com and we will do it.

• No accounts, logins or user profiles.
• No newsletter and no email capture.
• No advertising network, no retargeting pixels, no social tracking pixels.
• No selling or renting of data to anyone, ever.
• No payment processing — we never see a card number because we never take one.
• No comment system, so nothing you write is stored on the site.

This site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs — IP address, request time, requested URL, user agent — for operational and security purposes. That is normal web-hosting practice and the logs are short-lived. Vercel operates under its own privacy terms as our hosting provider.

Product images are served from Amazon’s content delivery network, so loading a page with product photographs on it involves a request to Amazon’s servers.

This site is written for adults buying pool equipment. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us a message through the contact form, email us and we will delete it.

You can block analytics with any tracker blocker, decline or clear cookies in your browser, and simply not use the contact form. None of those breaks the site, and none of them changes what you see.

To ask what we hold about you, or to have a contact-form message deleted, email contact@robotpoolcleanerpicks.com. In practice the answer is usually “nothing beyond the email you sent us”.

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. We will not quietly start doing something this page says we do not do.
